The Jeweler

Samantha Auburn Levine began designing jewelry in 2001 at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY. At Skidmore College, from which she graduated in 2009, Samantha received her minor in Jewelry and Metals – thus expanding her breadth and depth of techniques.

In 2010, Samantha furthered her education by enrolling at Metal Werks in Waltham, MA, a non-profit and community metals studio, while also attending Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, MA. Levine launched Auburn Jewelry in 2012 while still attending law school. Since graduating in 2013, Samantha has been designing and handcrafting sterling silver and enamel pieces full-time at Auburn Jewelry.

In addition to making jewelry, Levine uses her company as a platform for mentoring students by teaching them key features of running a small business, including her passion of giving back to the local community. For example, with Levine’s internship program, the team spoke with the Smart Girls Group at the local Boys and Girls Club to help inspire them and share Samantha’s story of creating a successful business from a hobby. Auburn Jewelry also includes “Gifts That Give Back” where a portion of proceeds are donated to both local and national non-profits. For instance, a portion of profits from pink ribbon pendants go to the American Cancer Society.
