Using a precision welding machine, we seamlessly connect the ends of your chain with a tiny weld, creating a beautiful, personalized piece without a traditional clasp.

 At Auburn Jewelry, we exclusively offer genuine sterling silver, 14k gold-filled, and solid 14k gold jewelry. All of our jewelry is nickel-free, and we never use traditional gold-plated or silver-plated chains.

Sterling silver

Our sterling silver jewelry is crafted from genuine 925 sterling silver, composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals for added strength and durability. All of our sterling silver jewelry is nickel-free. 

14k gold-filled

Our 14k gold-filled jewelry offers the luxurious appearance of solid gold at a more accessible price point. Gold-filled jewelry features a substantial layer of genuine 14k gold mechanically bonded to a brass core. Unlike traditional gold plating, gold-filled jewelry contains significantly more gold and is designed for long-term wear. Our gold-filled jewelry is nickel-free.

Our solid 14k gold jewelry is crafted from genuine, nickel-free 14k gold, offering exceptional quality, lasting beauty, and everyday durability. Designed to be worn and cherished for years to come, solid gold is a timeless investment in fine jewelry.

For a superior weld and seedless look, we only use sterling silver and 14k solid gold jump rings. Never gold filled or plated.

Not at all! The welding process is quick and painless. A protective barrier is placed between your skin and the jewelry, and the tiny spark used to weld the chain never touches your skin.

Permanent jewelry is simply custom-fitted jewelry without a clasp. Nothing is attached to or welded onto your skin!

We offer permanent jewelry for children ages 4 and up! Children must be able to sit still independently during the welding process and must genuinely want the jewelry themselves.

For everyone's safety and comfort, we will not apply permanent jewelry to a child who is unwilling or uncomfortable with the process.

Permanent jewelry generally does not set off airport metal detectors, so you can typically travel without removing it!

However, airport security procedures vary, and TSA officers may request additional screening at their discretion.

MRI facilities have different policies regarding jewelry, and you may be required to remove your permanent jewelry before your procedure.

We recommend contacting your MRI provider in advance to confirm their requirements. Always follow the instructions of your medical team.

If your jewelry needs to be removed, please contact us about having it re-welded afterward.

Permanent jewelry can easily be removed using scissors, nail clippers, or wire cutters. We recommend carefully cutting the small jump ring that connects the chain rather than cutting the chain itself.

Be sure to save your jewelry so it can be re-welded when you're ready to wear it again!

Absolutely! If you've removed your permanent jewelry, we'd be happy to re-weld it for you.

Re-welding is $25 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece. We waive the re-welding fee when you purchase a new piece of jewelry at your appointment.

Our permanent jewelry is crafted from high-quality sterling silver, 14k gold-filled, and solid 14k gold chains, designed to be beautiful and long-lasting.

However, all jewelry can be affected by individual body chemistry, skincare products, perfumes, cleaning chemicals, environmental exposure, and everyday wear.

Sterling silver: Regular wear can actually help minimize tarnishing! The natural oils on your skin can provide some protection against oxidation, while everyday movement and friction can help keep the surface polished. However, exposure to certain chemicals can cause sterling silver to darken or even turn black. We've found that this discoloration often improves with continued wear, sometimes returning to its original appearance within a week or so. More stubborn tarnishing may require cleaning or polishing.

14k gold-filled: Gold-filled jewelry is made with a substantial layer of real gold bonded to a base metal. While designed for durability, its color and finish may gradually change depending on wear, exposure, and individual body chemistry.

Solid 14k gold: Our most durable option for long-term wear, although it may still require occasional cleaning and polishing.

Because jewelry is exposed to different conditions once it leaves our care, we cannot guarantee that it will never tarnish, discolor, or show signs of wear. Proper care is essential to maintaining its appearance and longevity.

Yes! Our permanent jewelry is designed for everyday wear, including showering, swimming, and other daily activities.

However, frequent exposure to chlorine, saltwater, soaps, and other chemicals can affect the appearance and longevity of your jewelry over time, particularly sterling silver and 14k gold-filled pieces.

We recommend rinsing your jewelry with fresh water after swimming and gently drying it to help maintain its beautiful finish.

We offer complimentary repairs and re-welding within the first 7 days of purchase.

After the first 7 days, re-welding is $25 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece.

Re-welding fees are waived when you purchase a new piece of jewelry at your appointment.

Please keep your jewelry if it breaks or comes off so we can reattach it!

While permanent jewelry is designed for everyday wear, it is not indestructible. Chains can break or become detached if they are pulled, snagged, or subjected to excessive force.

If your jewelry breaks or comes off, please save the chain! We're happy to re-weld it according to our repair policy.

If your jewelry breaks and is lost, Auburn Jewelry is not responsible for replacing it. Lost jewelry is not covered under our complimentary repair policy, and a replacement piece must be purchased.

We take great care in creating and welding every piece, but once jewelry leaves our care, we cannot control how it is worn, handled, or maintained.

That depends on the wearer! While permanent jewelry is designed to be worn continuously and can last for years with proper care, it's not indestructibe. Many of our customers have been wearing their original pieces for years! But some piece meet an untimely fate.

Like all fine jewelry, permanent jewelry is not indestructible. Chains can stretch, snag, or break over time, particularly more delicate styles. Anything pulled hard enough will break.

The lifespan of your jewelry depends on several factors, including the chain style, metal, daily activities, and individual wear habits.

We take great care in helping you select a chain that suits your lifestyle, but we cannot guarantee how long any individual piece will last.

Due to the custom-fitted and personalized nature of our jewelry, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for changes of mind.

If you experience an issue with your jewelry, please contact us so we can review it and discuss available repair options.

All appointment deposits are non-refundable.
